Our Duties and Responsibilities

(1) Our Company will act on behalf of you.
(2) To purchase tender form.
(3) To submit the specification of log to you.
(4) To inspect and select the logs.
(5) To submit tender form.
(6) To move the logs from District to Yangon and negotiate the security charges.
(7) To prepare export license and other documentation to load on the ship.
(8) To load the log on Board.

Purchaser's Duties and Responsibilities

(1) To appoint our company as your agent in accordance of Rules and Regulations.
(2) For Performance Security, Euro 15,000.00 to be deposited in Myanmar Foreign Trade
Bank at least four months from the sealed tender date.
(3) To register our company as your agent in Myanmar Timber Enterprise.
(4) To register our company as your agent in Company Registration Office by signing
Yourself.

Rules and regulation regarding the tenders

Teak logs, Hardwood logs will be sold on sealed tender sale as mentioned hereunder. Bids must be Euro "€" per ton. Sale is made on "lot by lot basis" at each location.

1. Date and time: As per tender announcement.

2. Commodity Quantity & Location: Price for sale is based on FOB (Yangon) /
   Price for sale is based on Ex- site
   (Loading Transportation from site to Yangon up to On Board the vessel at buyers own expense, Arrangement, Risk & Responsibility)
   a) Teak logs : As per tender announcement
   b) Hardwood logs: As per tender announcement
   c) Teak squares : As per tender announcement
   d) Conversions : As per tender announcement
   e) Others : As per tender announcement

3. Earnest Money:
   a) Euro 15,000.00 stands by L/C (or) Bank Guarantee in favour of MTE / FJ
   b) The validity of Stand by L/C (or) Bank Guarantee must be at least four months
   from the Sealed Tender date.
   c) Cash deposit or Remittance can not be accepted.

4. Payments & Other Terms:
   a) After 15 days from the date of sale contract, buyer shall open PAA L/C with
   Telex Transfer Reimbursement term to Myanmar Timber Enterprise.
   Account Transfer or payment by T/T is also accepted, but within the
   Prescribed period.
   b) For Yangon Depot lots: successful lots must be shipped within (60)days from the date of sale contract.
   For District Depot lots: successful lots must be moved at the buyers experience, arrangement, responsibility and risk from location within (60) days from the date of sale contract. Successful lots must be shipped out within (60) days from the date of arrival at Yangon.
   c) In the event of non-compliance of the above terms as per paragraph"a"&"b", earnest money shall be confiscated.
   d) If shipment is not effected as mentioned in the paragraph "b"Ground rent shall be charged.
   e) Bids must be made by the authorized official or his representative who has registered with the ministry of Commence.
   f) All buyers must fill- in Department's form. Bids by other forms will be rejected.
   g) Department reserves the right to reject any bid without giving any reason. Withdrawal or Surrender of lots by the successful bidder is not accepted.
